Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pre-school / School-age Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a nurturing learning environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones, and implementing engaging curricula. This role involves leading classroom activities, developing lesson plans, and collaborating with staff to ensure a positive educational experience for all students. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans tailored to preschool and school-age children’s developmental needs.
- Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management strategies to create a safe and supportive environment.
- Implement early intervention techniques for children requiring additional support in areas such as special education or child welfare.
- Support toddler care routines and ensure adherence to childcare standards.
- Incorporate standardized testing and assessment tools to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians through effective communication skills to discuss student progress and developmental goals.
- Maintain classroom organization, manage supplies, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities related to early childhood education, literacy education, Montessori methods, and other relevant areas.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or school-age settings; prior classroom management experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or tutoring activities.
- Experience with special education needs, literacy education, math instruction, or Montessori methods is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and staff effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating leadership qualities as a lead teacher.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable.
- Passionate about child welfare, daycare standards, private school environments, and fostering inclusive learning experiences.
