Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Music Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in education and a strong understanding of various music genres. This role is crucial in exposing young children, ages 2 to 6 years, to the joys of music through singing, instruments, rhythm, and music reading.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging music lessons that introduce children to different genres of music.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including singing, instrument play, and rhythm exercises.
- Prepare students for seasonal events, including a winter concert, recitals, and year-end graduation performances.
- Conduct weekly music lessons every Tuesday from 3 PM to 4 PM.
- Submit weekly lesson plans to the Head of Schools at least one week in advance.
- Foster a fun and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression in young children.
Qualifications:
- Background in education, preferably with experience in early childhood music education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with young children and their families.
- Ability to create a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
- Passion for music and teaching, with a commitment to nurturing children’s love for music.
