Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a crucial role in the development of children's social, emotional, and cognitive skills through engaging curriculum and activities.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with educational standards and promotes holistic development.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Utilize Montessori methods and other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences.
- Monitor and assess student progress through standardized testing and informal assessments.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting positive social interactions among students.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to share best practices and improve teaching strategies.
- Provide tutoring support for children who may need additional assistance in specific areas of learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 90 hour Preschool certification
- ADA certification
- 9 hour communication
- Basic Health and Safety
- Experience in preschool settings or daycare environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of curriculum development techniques tailored for preschool-aged children.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create an enriching learning environment that fosters curiosity and creativity.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus.
