Are you nurturing, patient, and passionate about supporting infants in their earliest stages of development? Annie’s ELC is looking for a loving and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our team and provide high-quality care and learning in a safe, calm, and responsive environment.
Position Summary:
As the Lead Infant Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a warm, engaging classroom that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of each child. You will build strong bonds with infants and their families, while also helping them reach key developmental milestones.
Responsibilities Include:
- Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities
- Providing nurturing, responsive care (feeding, diapering, soothing, etc.)
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting classroom environment
- Creating and maintaining daily routines that support infant needs
- Documenting observations, milestones, and communication with families
- Collaborating with assistant teachers and leadership to ensure high-quality care
- Communicating clearly and respectfully with families
Qualifications:
- CDA in Infant/Toddler or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting
- Knowledge of infant development and appropriate practices
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
- Excellent communication and caregiving skills
- Must meet all state licensing requirements and pass background checks
