About the Role

We're looking for a passionate Lead Preschool Teacher to design and lead daily instruction for children ages 2–5. You'll have the opportunity to create your own curriculum focused on early literacy and math readiness, with support from our Director/Family and Child Wellness Coordinator to help incorporate executive functioning skills throughout. All curriculum and lesson plans are reviewed and signed off on before use. This role is best suited for someone who is a self-starter, creative, and enjoys autonomy.

What You'll Do

Design and lead your own curriculum, built around early literacy and math readiness
Work with the Director/Family and Child Wellness Coordinator to incorporate executive functioning skills into your curriculum
Submit curriculum and lesson plans for sign-off before use
Create a warm, structured, and engaging learning environment for young children
Communicate regularly with parents on child progress and program updates
Ensure compliance with Maryland childcare licensing standards (COMAR)

What We're Looking For

Working knowledge of executive functioning skills and how to support their development in young children
Creativity and confidence to independently develop age-appropriate curriculum and activities
Required: 90-hour Certificate of Completion, 45-hour, or 24-hour Entry Level Training (within the last 2 years)
CPR and First Aid certification, Medication Administration, and Basic Health and Safety a plus (not required)
Warm, patient, and reliable — someone parents and children can trust
Must meet, or be willing to work toward, qualifications for a Maryland home daycare
Must have at least 2+ years of Lead Teacher experience
