JEWELS Therapy Clinic is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing pediatric therapy team in Pikesville, just northwest of Baltimore. About the Role
As a COTA at JEWELS, you will help children build independence, strengthen daily living skills, and reach important developmental milestones. You will work alongside experienced Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other pediatric specialists in a collaborative, positive clinic environment. Whether you are an experienced pediatric COTA or ready to grow into the specialty, our team will support you.
What You Will Do
- Carry out individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Provide therapy focused on fine motor development, sensory processing, self-care, daily living skills, and functional independence
- Track patient progress and share updates with supervising therapists
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Adjust treatment activities based on each child's needs and progress
- Partner with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Coach families and caregivers on home strategies and carryover
- Create an engaging, encouraging environment for children and families
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Maryland Occupational Therapy Assistant license (or eligibility to obtain one before start date)
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential through NBCOT
- Reliable commute to Pikesville, MD 21208, or willingness to relocate
- Passion for working with children and families
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred:
- Previous pediatric therapy experience
- Experience with developmental delays, sensory integration, or autism spectrum disorder

- Monday to Friday
