Timonium Children's Center is seeking passionate, nurturing, and dedicated Infant and Toddler Teachers (Lead and Assistant) to join our growing team.
For 17 years, Timonium Children's Center has provided a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn through play. What You'll Do
As a member of our teaching team, you will:
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for infants and toddlers.
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through responsive caregiving and play-based learning.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate experiences and activities.
- Build strong partnerships with families through open, respectful communication.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and specialists to support each child's growth.
- Observe, document, and assess children's development and progress.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and ongoing training.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and classroom organization.
Lead Teacher Qualifications
Lead Teachers must meet Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Office of Child Care requirements.
Qualified candidates should possess:
- 90-Hour Early Childhood Certification
- 45-Hour Infant & Toddler Certification
- CDA Credential and/or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
- 9-Hour Communication Course
- Child Care and COVID-19 Training
- ADA Certification
- Basic Health and Safety Certification
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Medication Administration Certification
- Supporting Breastfeeding Certification
- Emergency Preparedness Certification
All candidates must successfully pass required background checks.
