Responsibilities

- Manage classroom behavior through effective classroom management techniques, creating a safe and inclusive environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with special education teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that support each student’s unique goals.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing and formative evaluations to monitor progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Incorporate speech therapy, behavioral therapy, music therapy, or recreational therapy techniques when appropriate to enhance student engagement and development.
- Provide mentorship and academic advising to students, fostering their social-emotional well-being and encouraging lifelong learning habits.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, Montessori methods, preschool experience, or early intervention practices.
Skills
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, colleagues, and support staff.
- Expertise in curriculum development across subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, library services, and childcare.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs, including knowledge of IEP processes and behavioral health strategies.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education, early childhood education, preschool experience, toddler care, or Montessori methodologies.
- Proficiency in using learning technology platforms for instructional design, tutoring, proofreading materials, and facilitating online or hybrid learning environments.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral management techniques, and behavioral health practices.
- Ability to mentor colleagues or students while demonstrating strong classroom management skills in diverse educational settings.
