Responsibilities

- Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions and effective behavior management strategies to support all learners.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, address individual needs—including special education and early intervention—and promote ongoing engagement.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides, providing guidance on classroom management and instructional techniques.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s development, attendance, and lesson plans in compliance with licensing standards and best practices.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Proven experience in classroom management, curriculum development, and lesson planning within preschool or daycare settings.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Expertise in working with children with diverse needs, including special education requirements and early intervention strategies.
- Familiarity with developmentally appropriate activities, literacy education techniques, math instruction, and teaching physical education activities.
