About Us
The Center of Restorative Change (CRC), in the School of Social Work at the University of Maryland Baltimore has the vision that all communities will be equitable and promote well-being, self-determination, and individual and collective power. CRC’s mission is to advance social justice through mutually transformative community-university partnerships.
The Rise Early Learning and Family Support Center (Rise) serves as continuum of care for families and caregivers throughout Baltimore City offering an array of high-quality, community-centered service provisions and care coordination. Services will address families’ emergency needs, educate, and teach caregiving practices and techniques, provide therapeutic services for children and families, and coordinate case management to support families with navigating systems to address their physical health, social and emotional well-being. The success of the center rests upon three initiatives under the CRC, Rise; Family Connections Baltimore; and B’More for Healthy Babies Upton/Druid Heights. Each family can engage in one or all services.
