Job Summary

Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to infants and toddlers, incorporating principles of early childhood education, literacy education, and Montessori methods where applicable.
Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and social interaction among young children.
Engage children in age-appropriate activities that support physical development, sensory exploration, language acquisition, and early math skills.
Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques to promote a respectful and cooperative atmosphere.
Collaborate with families to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address individual needs related to special education or early intervention programs.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental assessments aligned with standardized testing requirements when applicable.
Ensure compliance with child welfare standards, health protocols, and licensing regulations related to daycare and childcare services.

Qualifications

Prior classroom experience working with infants and toddlers in early childhood education settings or daycare environments.
Knowledge of childhood development stages, behavior management strategies, and classroom management best practices.
Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or other specialized subjects such as math or literacy education.
Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention support is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and children’s support teams.
Certification in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; Montessori training or preschool experience is a plus.
